The first post on an empty blog... These next few weeks will prove to be an enlightening experience.

I dont know how much you know about me, but if I have ever had the chance to tell you something that I dislike about myself its that I cannot for the life of me ever be satisfied with my designs. Take this blog for example,

I believe its been about a year and a half in the works. I've created close to 15 complete designs, scrapping them all shortly after finishing them. This proves to be an ineffective process when I want to get something done. On the other hand I now have something I am happy with. I'm going to break the ice with a little QnA:

  • So what is this whole blog thing Ryan?

To be honest, I just decided I needed one, and a stable one at that. Ever so often I learn something cool or figure something out that I would just love to tell people about, but I find myself limited as these things just do not find place on my main site. By the way it's right here if you are unaware.

  • Your Design is boring, why did you pick it?

In real life, I am messy, disorganized, and lazy. On the web I am the opposite. This plays through in every one of my designs. I believe in a clean layout; well formed, organized, simplistic, and classy. This blog is informational, as with all blogs, so why clutter things up with obnoxiously long sidebars filled with what music I've listed to, virtual pets and news feeds that nobody cares about?

  • What are you going to blog about?

Life, work, and the pursuit of web standards! I'll try my best to keep you interested, but you have to promise to read my gobaldy gook that comes forth from my keyboard.

I think that wraps things up. It may be a while for a new post as my new computer is being built so I can develop more efficiently (and play crazy games of course), catching up with work/clients and not failing overall. Comment if you like, I don't expect anything really.
